Girls Soccer
The Albany High School Girls Soccer team requested a design for a T-shirt to promote the club off the pitch. The primary goal was to raise awareness in the community since it was not common knowledge that the urban high school even had a soccer team for girls.
Logo Design
We needed a design that the girls would be proud to wear, thus maximizing team visibility. I opted for an image that was simple, dynamic and elegant, leveraging the unique pattern on a soccer ball. I enlarged the graphic to emulate an image of the planet, thus implying a “wordly” importance that is meant to inspire teammates to acknowledge the importance of the team.
I chose a stable geometric treatment for the type to counter-balance the energy of the soccer ball graphic.
T-shirt Design
We selected a royal blue t-shirt (school color) and converted the logo to white for maximum contrast.
