New creative was requested to help refresh and revitalize the look and tone of the advertising materials used to support Super Bowl selling at Price Chopper and Market 32. The aim was to capture the excitement and spirit of the NFL and Super Bowl, while retaining a promotional message that followed brand standards.

Logo Design

I led the design team in several creative brainstorming sessions and directed the final development of the new logo.

Poster Design

I supervised the creation of all of the advertising materials used to promote the initiative. We featured a large sign at the front of the store to introduce the promotion and highlight some of the key items and offers. Pizza and wings are one of the biggest opportunities during the weeks leading up to the Super Bowl. The photography shown here was shot in out in-house photo studio.

Special Displays

There were several unique merchandising displays that presented opportunities for advertising. The new logo was so popular that we decided to use a 24 inch die-cut version of it throughout the fresh departments to highlight key displays and help tie-in offers to the promotion.

Large multi-category gondola displays featuring key party goods (like sauces, condiments and dips) were built in key traffic areas of the stores. Headers were used on top of these displays to identify the offers as part of the initiative and ultimately encourage shopping.

Special headers were also needed to help accentuate the pizza and wings deal that was a key feature in the Foodfare Dept. (where pizzas are baked and merchandised).

Pricing Signs

Special smaller signs were produced to highlight key items throughout the stores. We leveraged the new creative to both augment the items and as a way to extend the initiative throughout the store and help support the event.

Circular Design

I directed the team of designers working on the weekly circular how and where to employ the new creative, ensuring consistent and effective treatment and messaging.
